FAQ

Luggage Storage at Wicker Park 2024

Wicker Park is a park of 1.6 hectares (4.03 acres) of the city of Chicago that lies between North Damen Avenue to the west, W. Schiller Street to the south, and W. Wicker Park Avenue to the north.

The brothers Charles G. and Joel H. Wicker owned a subdivision in Chicago and gave a small portion of it to the city in 1870. It was partitioned off so the cattle could not graze on the fertile land, and a neighborhood soon arose around the park, which got its name from the men who donated it.

As with most of Chicago’s parks and green spaces, Wicker Park is maintained by the Chicago Park District.

The park includes baseball fields, tree-lined walks, areas with gym equipment, and a water tank (which is open to the public in summer) with water games, including a castle inflatable. There is also an area in the park that is reserved for dogs.
