Strategic location and friendly service! Highly recommend!
This was by far the most economical option for me -- and it was flexible too. The booking was easy, payment was convenient and I appreciated the quick response when I had a query. The luggage 'host' couldn't have been friendlier. Highly recommended.

About Guadalajara Airport
Guadalajara Airport goes by its official name—Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla International Airport. It’s Mexico’s third busiest airport. You’ll find it about 16 kilometers southeast of downtown Guadalajara. The airport works as the main gateway to Mexico’s second-largest metro area. Millions of passengers pass through here every year. It connects travelers to places across Mexico, the United States, and other countries around the world.
The airport has two modern terminals. Inside, you’ll find restaurants, shops, car rental services, and duty-free stores. Maybe you’re coming for business in Jalisco’s capital. Or you want to explore the region’s cultural sites and tequila country. Either way, the airport gives you easy access to western Mexico’s most vibrant city and the attractions nearby.
Is There Guadalajara Airport Luggage Storage?
Right now, Guadalajara Airport doesn’t have traditional self-service lockers. There’s no official baggage storage facility run by the airport. Some travelers say certain airlines offer limited short-term storage. But those options work only for specific situations—not for everyone. This creates problems if you have a long layover. Or if you want to see the city before your evening flight.
You can use Qeepl’s luggage storage near Guadalajara Airport instead. It’s convenient and secure. Our service has flexible bag storage at spots close to the terminal. You can store your belongings for just MX$73.90 per item per day. Each piece gets protected with our MX$20,000. That gives you peace of mind while you explore Guadalajara. Need Guadalajara Airport baggage storage service for a few hours? Or maybe an entire day? Qeepl provides a reliable alternative to traditional airport lockers.
Major Transit Hubs near Guadalajara Airport
Guadalajara Airport sits near several major transit hubs. These make it easier to travel throughout the metro area and beyond.
Guadalajara Central Bus Station (Central Camionera) is one of the biggest bus terminals in Latin America. It’s located about 20 kilometers from the airport. This huge hub connects travelers to destinations all over Mexico. You’ll find frequent buses to cities like Puerto Vallarta, Mexico City, and Tijuana. Getting there takes a taxi or a combination of airport shuttle services and local transport. The city also has Tren Ligero (Light Rail) stations. They’re not directly at the airport, but you can reach them from various points in the city center. You’ll need ground transportation from the terminal first. The system has three lines. They connect key areas—the historic center, Zapopan, and major shopping districts. Once you’re in the metro area, it’s an efficient way to get around.
How to Get to the City Centre From Guadalajara Airport?
Getting from Guadalajara Airport to the city center is pretty straightforward. You have several convenient ways to do it.
Airport shuttle services (locals call them “aerobuses”) run regular routes between the airport and downtown Guadalajara. The trip typically takes 30-45 minutes, depending on traffic. These shuttles are cost-effective—fares run around 150-200 pesos. For taxis and ride-sharing, official airport taxis wait at designated stands outside both terminals. Fixed rates to the city center average 350-450 pesos. Uber and other ride-sharing apps work here too. They often have competitive prices. Private car rental is another option. Multiple international and local agencies operate at the airport. This gives you flexibility if you plan to explore beyond the city. The drive to downtown takes about 25-35 minutes via the Carretera Guadalajara-Chapala highway. Traffic can get heavy during peak hours, though.
