This was by far the most economical option for me -- and it was flexible too. The booking was easy, payment was convenient and I appreciated the quick response when I had a query. The luggage 'host' couldn't have been friendlier. Highly recommended.

About San Francisco Chinatown

San Francisco Chinatown is the oldest Chinatown in North America and one of the most lively. It started in the 1850s when people rushed to California looking for gold. This neighborhood covers about 24 square blocks and remains an important cultural center of the city. People come to see the decorated Dragon Gate at the entrance, walk the busy streets with traditional shops, eat at real Chinese restaurants that serve dim sum and other regional dishes, and visit old temples that show Chinese-American history.

But San Francisco Chinatown is more than just history. It’s a real neighborhood where people live and work. Eastern traditions mix naturally with modern city life here. The area has colorful buildings, shops selling herbal medicine, tea houses, and big celebrations like the Chinese New Year Parade every year. You can shop for souvenirs on Grant Avenue or walk through quieter side streets to find hidden spots. Either way, you get a real cultural experience. This makes the district one of the places tourists visit most in San Francisco.
