The station is located in the Turksib district, approximately 20 minutes drive northeast of the city center. There is no direct metro connection to the station. The nearest station, ““Raiymbek Batyr,”” is located at Almaty-2 Station.

From Almaty Airport (ALA) to Almaty-1 Station, it is most convenient to take a taxi; the trip will take about 25 minutes.

Public Transport to Almaty-1 Station

Many public transport routes run to the “Almaty-1” or “Abylai Khan” stops. This is the most economical way to get to the station.

• Bus №41: runs from the station to the airport (the stop is located 300 meters away on Rikharda Zorge Street).

You can pay for the fare in several ways. The most cost-effective is with the “Oңай!” transport card or via QR code in the ONAY app; the trip costs 100 tenge. Cash payment to the driver will cost more, 200 tenge.

The “Oңai!” card itself can be purchased at kiosks near metro stations and topped up through terminals or online. Public transport stops are located 200–300 meters from the station entrances; look for signs to Ablay Khan and Stantsionnaya streets.

Taxi and Private Car

For trips around the city, it is convenient to use taxi services through apps, such as Yandex.Taxi or Uber. The cost of a trip around the city starts from approximately 400 ₸. A trip from the airport will cost 5000–8000 ₸ for economy class.

During rush hours, from 8:00 to 10:00 and from 17:00 to 19:00, travel time may increase, so plan your departure in advance. At the main entrance from Stantsionnaya Street, there are zones for short-term stops, and there is also a 24-hour parking lot.

The station has automatic luggage storage lockers offering three sizes of lockers: standard, medium, and large. They are located in the main hall, to the right of the entrance, near the information desk.

You can pay for the service by cash or card through a terminal located near the lockers. Storage lockers prohibit leaving perishable products, weapons, and other hazardous substances. The maximum storage period is 30 days.
