Roman Saulin
CEO, founder of Qeepl
Roman Saulin is the founder and CEO of Qeepl. He started the company in 2019 after a travel moment many of us know too well — needing a safe place to leave his bags at a busy station and finding nothing convenient. That frustration turned into a mission: build a worldwide, reliable luggage-storage service that travelers can trust. Under his leadership Qeepl has grown into a platform that connects local shops, hostels and lockers to travelers looking for simple, flexible storage options.
Over the past years Roman has split his time between product, partnerships and the road — he’s a hands-on founder who still enjoys testing the service in the places his customers use it. He travels frequently, favoring Europe and Latin America and occasionally making trips to Asia to meet partners and see how Qeepl works on the ground. Those journeys keep the product honest: every new city teaches a lesson about logistics, hospitality and what makes travelers feel secure.
When he’s not building the network, Roman is happiest with a snowboard under his feet. His favourite country for downtime is Argentina — he loves skiing and snowboarding, and makes a habit of visiting Bariloche whenever he can. (Fun fact: Qeepl already operates secure storage points there, so a quick pit stop between runs is never a problem.)
