How to Get to the City Centre From Central Park?

- Subway: This is the quickest way for longer journeys. Lines 1, 2, 3, A, B, C, and D run along the west side of the park. The 4, 5, 6, N, R, and W lines serve the east side, taking you straight downtown or to Brooklyn.
- Bus: Taking a city bus can be more interesting as you see more of the city. Buses run often on the main avenues and large cross-streets, connecting all parts of Manhattan.
- Citi Bike: For shorter distances, you can use New York’s bike-sharing program. It’s a fun and efficient way to get around. There are many places to pick up and drop off bikes near the park, making it simple to bike to areas like the Theater District or Museum Mile.
