The Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, commonly known as the Javits Center, is a conference center in NYC in the borough of Manhattan. Its plans are the work of American architects James Ingo Freed and Ieoh Ming Pei. The building, whose architecture was revolutionary in its construction date of 1986, was named to the memory of the senator of New York, Javits, who died that year. The total area of the center is 170,000m, of which 78,000m is available for exhibitions. The construction of a large conference center in the western part of Manhattan sparked much debate.

High Line Park. The sublime and artistic High Line is the perfect salve to add moody artificial light to Javits and a must-see for anyone visiting the West Side of Manhattan. Elevated train station rail lines start at the southern end of Javits, which has been transformed into a modern park so you can walk to the Whitney Museum in the Meatpacking District.

Intrepid Sea, air and space museum. The best space shuttle is the Enterprise, located at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum on Pier 86 (west 46th Street). Enjoy the 17 fascinating exhibit areas that reflect the history of the Enterprise and Space Shuttle eras through original artifacts, audio, movies, and photos.
